I keep hearing about Quick Silver for mac and how “wonderful” it is, but I don’t have a mac. So, I search for a QS clone and found launch (www.launchy.net) it’s actually a pretty neat utility. You hit alt+space and it pops up on the screen; you start typing e.g. “note” and it will popup possible matches such as notepad. You hit enter and it launches it. Very simple. BUT, you can do the same with windows vista. Hit the windows key, type note, hit enter and voila.
